The Registered Nurse (RN) position at Bon Secours Mercy Health is a dynamic opportunity to deliver exceptional patient care in a multidisciplinary setting. As a key member of the care team, you will utilize strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status, implement clinical nursing interventions, and develop patient care plans to enhance and improve outcomes.
Essential Functions:- Provide direct patient care according to the provider's prescribed plan of care and nursing scope of practice while closely monitoring progress and recovery.
- Assess and document patient conditions and report changes as needed.
- Administer medication, insulin, and IV/fluids, documenting thoroughly.
- Inspect and care for wounds, changing dressings and assisting with personal hygiene.
- Apply effective interviewing skills to elicit information from patients and/or family/significant others necessary to plan and implement the treatment plan.
- Collaborate with providers, aides, and allied health professionals to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.
- Graduate of an accredited Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association.
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support (required for Pediatric BH Units).
- One (1) year of professional experience practicing as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Recent Behavioral Health experience (preferred, not required).
- EPIC Electronic Health Record training (preferred, not required).
- De-Escalation Training (preferred, not required).
