About the Role

Total Wine & More is seeking a highly skilled Accounts Payable/Receivable Accountant to join our Accounting/Finance Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing month-end and year-end general ledger close tasks, supporting general accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform month-end and year-end general ledger close tasks, including preparing journal entries, performing general ledger account reconciliations, and executing closing process steps.
  • Support the accounts payable function by processing and maintaining third-party vendor records and compiling and issuing vendor payment reports.
  • Support the accounts receivable function by processing and applying vendor refunds and credits.
  • Manage IT tickets and address misreported inventory and related inventory issues as identified by Store Managers.
  • Record store payments issued against vendor invoices on a weekly basis and correct any misreported payments.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Math, Economics, Accounting, or Finance.
  • 6+ months of experience in accounting or finance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and v-lookups.
  • Understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Experience with Lawson accounting system.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical/problem-solving skills.
