Postal Assistant Job Opportunity

King County is seeking a skilled and experienced Postal Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our mail services team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to departments, divisions, and units of King County government.

Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and be a team player. Key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Providing efficient and friendly delivery and management of mail;
  • Receiving, sorting, distributing, and metering USPS and interoffice mail;
  • Delivering and collecting mail throughout King County on a prescribed route, on foot and by vehicle;
  • Handling inquiries, questions, and complaints from customers;
  • Keeping accurate records of postage usage and operating and maintaining a high volume postage meter.
