**Job Title:** Dental Health Specialist
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Health Specialist to join our team at King County's Public Health Department. As a vital member of our dental clinic staff, you will provide exceptional care to patients while working collaboratively with our experienced healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide chairside assistance during restorative, oral surgery, endodontic, hygiene, and other procedures as needed
- Take diagnostic quality intra-oral and extra-oral radiographs
- Assist dentists with emergency procedures and maintain patient flow
- Document medical record information under the direction of the dentist
- Maintain patient files and ensure compliance with OSHA/WISHA requirements
Requirements:
- Current registration as a Dental Assistant in the State of Washington
- Completion of a recognized Dental Assistant course program or equivalent experience
- Working knowledge of methods and techniques used in dental assisting
- Ability to travel throughout King County in a timely manner with little advance notice
