Job Summary

The Diagnostic Imaging Specialist will provide high-quality patient care and perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including radiographic, fluoroscopic, and portable procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical ethics and be able to exercise professional judgment in performing services.

Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including radiographic, fluoroscopic, and portable procedures.
  • Assist physicians and radiologists in procedures requiring sterile technique.
  • Prepare and administer radiopaque contrast media as needed.
  • Assess patient conditions prior to and during all radiologic procedures.
  • Participate in providing patient-specific care standards and follow service excellence standards to ensure high levels of patient satisfaction.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an educational program in radiology accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) or graduate of an American Medical Association approved program in Radiologic Technology or a military training program of equivalent standards.
  • Licensed Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) with the Texas Medical Board.
  • Registered technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists primary certification in Radiography - ARRT (R).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification as per SDH policy.
