Senior Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Stantec Buildings. As a key member of our fueling infrastructure design team, you will play a critical role in the evaluation, recommendation, design, and specification of vehicle fueling systems, with a focus on hydrogen and other alternative fuels.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the design and engineering efforts for fueling infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to client requirements, codes, and engineering standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architecture, electrical, and civil disciplines, to coordinate facility designs.
- Develop and implement design concepts, including process-piping systems, high-pressure piping, and associated equipment.
- Interface with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to provide technical inputs and support.
- Lead and mentor junior staff, including project engineers, EITs, and designers, to ensure successful project delivery.
- Perform calculations, analyze data, and research equipment and materials to meet project requirements.
- Review and verify design documents, specifications, and submittals against project requirements and codes.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- California Mechanical-PE license.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on fluid-process systems and fueling infrastructure design.
- Experience in the oil and gas industry or fueling-systems design is an advantage.
- Ability to commute to downtown Los Angeles at least two days per week.
