Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Building Materials Sales Support specialist to join our team. As a key member of our sales support team, you will play a vital role in connecting our products with professionals who use them, providing critical support to our sales team, and ensuring that our customers receive the highest quality service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist customers in selecting building materials and products based on their project needs.
  • Provide detailed information on product specifications, pricing, and availability.
  • Process sales orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all necessary information is collected and entered into the system.
  • Support the sales team by preparing quotes, samples, and product information for client meetings.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the procurement team to ensure adequate stock for high-demand materials.
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints promptly, providing effective solutions and excellent customer service.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, new products, and advancements in building materials.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to obtain product information and negotiate pricing when necessary.
  • Communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing, to coworkers and customers.
Requirements
  • Related sales experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of building materials and construction industry preferred, can train the right candidate.
  • Willing to learn computer software as needed.
  • Ability to communicate with team and management and exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • Able to problem-solve, multitask, and prioritize as needed.
Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $50,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. A comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and a 401(k) retirement plan, is also offered.
