Job Overview

Community Health Network is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Surgical Inpatient team. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our nursing staff.

About the Role

This full-time position involves direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will collaborate with the RN on patient plans, assist with daily living activities, administer medications, and perform phlebotomy tasks. Additionally, you may be responsible for transcription, documentation, and patient education.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality patient care, including ADLs, medication administration, and phlebotomy.
  • Collaborate with RNs on patient plans and provide indirect care, such as order transcription and documentation.
  • Support patient and family education, reinforcing understanding of medical procedures and treatments.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to maintain a smooth unit operation.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a recognized accredited school of practical nursing or equivalent experience.
  • Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) by the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency.
