Position Overview

The Material Handling Specialist is responsible for executing material transitions, setups, and maintaining material supply systems on injection molding equipment within the Production Division. This role directly aids the Production Team to guarantee the efficient and timely creation of high-quality components.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct material and color transitions on plastic injection molding machinery.
  • Disassemble molds and extract insulated runners from molds.
  • Configure and fine-tune material blending systems.
  • Meticulously record color usage and product completion in the quality management system.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of material storage and workspaces.
  • Move pallets of finished products to the storage area.
  • Support production by providing breaks for Machine Operators as necessary.
  • Adhere to all company protocols to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of experience in material handling within a plastics manufacturing setting is preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand process setup instructions and company policies.
  • Mechanical skills with proficiency in using basic hand tools are essential.
  • Strong organizational abilities.
  • Capability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds regularly.
  • Commitment to following safe manufacturing practices.
  • Self-motivated to work independently or collaboratively in a team environment.
