Material Handler Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our team at Silgan Dispensing. As a Material Handler, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production department. Your primary responsibilities will include performing material and color changes on plastic injection molding machines, splitting molds, and pulling insulated runners from molds. You will also be responsible for setting up and adjusting material mixing units, accurately documenting color usage and product completion in IQMS, and maintaining clean and organized material storage and work areas. Additionally, you will transport pallets of finished goods to the warehouse and assist production by providing breaks to Machine Operators as required. If you have a mechanical aptitude and are able to lift and carry up to 35 pounds frequently, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

Requirements

* 1-3 years' experience in material handling in plastics manufacturing environment preferred
* Ability to read and comprehend process set up instructions and company policies and procedures
* Mechanical aptitude with ability to use basic hand tools is required
* Good organizational skills
* Ability to follow safe manufacturing practices
* Must be motivated to work with or without constant supervision in a group setting
