Theatre Operations Manager

The Theatre Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of theatre operation. As a representative of Coming Attractions Theatres, Inc., the Manager must be knowledgeable of company policy and procedure and to be able to implement these effectively. The Manager maintains positive customer and staff relations, assists and/or fills in for the General Manager, and is responsible for ensuring the safety of patrons and workers by following safety designated procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintains high levels of customer satisfaction to meet Coming Attractions Theatres standards.
- Oversees the operation and maintenance of the theatre and equipment, conducts safety inspections, and supervises janitorial staff.
- Schedules and conducts training and safety meetings, introduces and enforces company policy, and supervises and trains Assistant Managers.
- Responsible for concessions inventory control, accurate bank deposits, and petty cash funds, as well as complete and accurate box office reports.
- Makes accurate and detailed incident/accident reports as necessary and clearly interfaces with Home Office in a timely manner.
- Responsible for other duties as assigned by General Manager and/or Home Office and available to handle emergency situations at the theatre in the absence of the General Manager.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports and correspondence, and speak effectively before groups of customers or employees. They will also be able to calculate figures and amounts, apply common sense understanding, and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Additionally, the candidate should be self-motivated, organized, honest, and reliable, with knowledge of computers, Internet software, spreadsheet software, and word processing software.
Working Conditions:
The work for this position is performed mainly inside the movie theatre, requiring routine walking, standing, bending, twisting, and carrying items weighing no more than fifty pounds. This position requires availability nights, weekends, and holidays.
