Job Summary

Qualcomm is seeking a skilled Embedded DSP Software Engineer to develop software for CPU and DSP processors and hardware engines in its SoC portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in embedded software development, operating systems, and drivers, with experience in developing high-performance system drivers for compute resources.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and integrate software components for complex multimedia and machine learning use cases.
  • Collaborate with global teams to test and commercially support embedded software.
  • Work closely with OEMs and Independent Software Vendors to integrate and test software.
  • Develop and maintain software documentation and technical guides.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks associated with software development.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in programming languages such as C/C++, operating systems, and multi-threaded programming.
  • Experience in developing, debugging, profiling, and optimizing for embedded real-time environments.
  • Knowledge of inter-processor communications, computer architecture, and multimedia software development.
  • Experience with Windows driver development using Windows Driver Frameworks (KMDF & UMDF) and Driver Module Framework.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in software engineering or related work experience.
  • 1+ years of experience with database management software.
  • 1+ years of experience with API.
  • 1+ years of experience working in a large matrixed organization.
