Job Title: Rehabilitation Respiratory Therapist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Rehabilitation Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients in a variety of settings. Your expertise will be essential in helping patients recover from respiratory-related illnesses and injuries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of respiratory care provided to patients.
  • Provide direct patient care respiratory services, including setting up, adjusting, and managing patients on continuous mechanical ventilation.
  • Assess the appropriateness of respiratory care ordered and discuss variances with primary physicians when necessary.
  • Formulate an appropriate Respiratory Care plan based on patient assessment and monitor and identify any problem regarding quality assurance.
  • Communicate effectively with all physicians utilizing respiratory care services in clinical areas.
  • Participate in patient rounds and serve as a respiratory care resource person to other members of the healthcare team.
  • Explain treatment procedures to patients and/or family members to allay fears and elicit cooperation.
  • Participate in meetings and conferences designed to expedite and improve delivery of respiratory care.
  • Propose, develop, and help implement techniques, methodology, and treatment modalities related to respiratory care.
  • Perform emergency and acute Respiratory Care procedures in accordance with service policy and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an approved program in Respiratory Therapy; Associate's Degree in Respiratory Care Technology preferred.
  • Two years of relevant experience.
  • Credentialing and registration as required by state.
  • Ability to apply pediatric respiratory principles in the clinical setting.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills required.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented with ability to problem solve.
  • PALS certification required (may complete after hire).
