Job Title: Clinical Respiratory Therapist

ReqOverflow is seeking a skilled Clinical Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients of all ages, from newborns to geriatrics.

Job Summary:

This is a full-time regular position that requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in a critical care setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in respiratory care, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform respiratory therapy procedures per protocol and those ordered by physicians to improve cardiopulmonary conditions.
  • Work with patients in critical care units, adult general care, and pediatric general care, and provide respiratory care at secondary care sites as needed.
  • Document patient records and department logs accurately and efficiently.
  • Stay up-to-date with technological advances in respiratory care and apply clinical applications effectively.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients and families, demonstrating the ability to work with patients' physical, motor/sensory, cognitive, and psychosocial needs.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in full-time respiratory care in a critical care setting.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a State of Nevada Board of Medical Examiners Respiratory Care Practitioner License.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care required.
  • State of Nevada Point of Care Analyst license or equivalent required within 6 months of hire.
  • Current AHA BLS certification required, with AHA ACLS & PALS certification required within 6 months.
