  • Maintain Facility Cleanliness: Clean and sanitize all areas of the facility, including jail cells, common areas, offices, conference rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, elevators, stairways, entrances, coffee areas, kitchens, vestibules, locker rooms, showers, drinking fountains, exam rooms, labs, and other assigned areas.
  • Empty Trash Containers: Empty trash containers, replace liners as needed, clean inside and outside of containers, and transport trash to designated waste disposal areas.
  • Collect and Separate Recycling: Collect, consolidate, and separate recycling into proper receptacles.
  • Maintain Restroom and Locker Room Cleanliness: Clean and polish all chrome and stainless steel, clean mirrors, clean and sanitize toilet bowls, urinals, and sinks, replenish supplies, and mop and disinfect hard surface floors.
  • Clean Windows and Glass: Clean windows and glass surfaces.
  • Polish Stainless Steel Surfaces: Polish stainless steel surfaces.
  • Clean and Sanitize Telephones and Drinking Fountains: Clean and sanitize telephones and drinking fountains.
  • Dusting and Spot Cleaning: Dust furniture, desks, file cabinets, window sills, remove cobwebs, and perform spot cleaning of spills, smudges, coffee rings, stains, fingerprints, walls, light switches, doors, door frames, and windows.
  • Floor Maintenance: Sweep, remove debris, clean spills, mop floors, vacuum rugs/mats, carpets, and upholstered furniture.
  • Keep Janitor Closets Clean and Organized: Keep janitor closets clean, organized, and supplied.
  • Operate and Sanitize Equipment: Operate and sanitize all equipment in a safe and proper manner.
  • Follow Health and Sanitation Procedures: Follow and comply with all applicable health and sanitation procedures and adhere to safe work practices.
Requirements
  • Ability to Carry Out Instructions: Ability to carry out detailed oral or written instructions.
  • Effective Communication: Ability to effectively communicate with coworkers and customers.
  • Team Player: Must be a team player.
  • Willingness to Perform Other Duties: Willingness to perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands
  • Standing and Walking: Must be able to stand and walk for the entire length of your shift.
  • Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry objects weighing from 15 to 25 pounds.
  • Bending, Lifting, Stretching, and Reaching: Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head.
  • Pushing and Pulling: Occasionally push and pull wheeled carts loaded with products up to 50 pounds.
