We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Assistant to join our team at Trinity Health Michigan. As a Patient Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:- Respond to patient call lights and provide assistance as needed
- Obtain vital signs and provide personal care to patients
- Transport patients to procedures, transfers, or discharge
- Maintain a clean and safe environment in patient rooms
- Collaborate with the RN to observe patient progress and provide support
- High School diploma or equivalent
- One of the following: Certified Nursing Assistant, 6 months experience as a Patient Care Assistant or Nurse Technician in an acute care setting, completion of 1 clinical semester in nursing school, or completion of the MHSM PCA training program upon hire
- BCLS certification obtained within one week of hire
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
