Parking Attendant

At SP+, we're committed to making every moment matter for a world on the go. As a Parking Attendant, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our customers have a seamless parking experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct customers to available parking spaces.
- Count vehicles on location throughout the shift.
- Issue violation warnings to tenants and visitors who violate garage policies.
- Patrol parking levels on foot or in a customized motor cart, if applicable.
- Assist customers who have forgotten where they parked their vehicle.
- Be punctual and presentable, wearing a complete uniform at all times.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and directing customers to the Facility Manager as needed.
- Control traffic at entrances and exits as necessary.
- Assist with maintenance and repair of parking equipment and general maintenance tasks as directed by the Facility Manager.
- Report any accidents, safety hazards, or unusual occurrences to the Facility Manager.
- Communicate debris, water, oil spills, and other issues to the garage office.
- Substitute for Valets when necessary, if authorized.
- Have a thorough knowledge of the garage, major streets, landmarks, and freeways in the area.
- Assist the Facility Manager with other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, you'll need to meet the following qualifications:
Education/Experience: Less than High School education or one month of related experience, training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
License Requirement: A valid state-issued driver's license with a current address and acceptable driving record, if you're expected to drive a company vehicle or drive on company business.
Availability to Work: Special shift requirements may vary depending on the location's hiring needs. If applicable, availability to work 2nd shift, 3rd shift, and/or weekends may be required.
Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one situations.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide with 10's and 100's, using units of American money.
Appearance: Employees will be required to maintain a neat and clean appearance and be in complete uniform at all times.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to handle cash and equipment. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
