Position Overview


The Registered Nurse plays a crucial role in delivering essential nursing support to both physicians and patients, aiding in the evaluation and management of various health conditions.

This role involves educating patients, fostering an understanding of their health issues, and ensuring adherence to prescribed treatment plans.

The Registered Nurse operates within a collaborative environment, taking responsibility for care delivery while utilizing the skills acquired in clinical settings.

Assists fellow team members in achieving optimal patient care outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Serves as the clinic lead, overseeing clinic operations and the performance of non-provider staff.

Evaluates patient sick calls to determine appropriate treatment pathways in collaboration with healthcare providers.


Collects and records patient medical histories, chief complaints, vital signs, and prepares patients for examinations, ensuring a comprehensive medical database for the provider.

Conducts thorough chart checks to confirm that all necessary patient testing results are available for provider consultations.

Assists healthcare providers during procedures as instructed to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment.

Monitors staffing levels to ensure adequate coverage based on clinic requirements.

Collects and processes laboratory specimens, completing all necessary documentation to facilitate timely and accurate laboratory analyses.

Maintains ongoing communication with patients, documenting interactions effectively.

Provides clear instructions to ensure patients understand their medical conditions and comply with treatment protocols.

Inserts, monitors, adjusts, and removes IVs as per provider directives.

Administers medications, including IV push and topical treatments.

Regularly inspects and monitors the functionality of diagnostic equipment to ensure optimal operation.

Work is primarily conducted in a clinical environment. Responsible for fulfilling all job-specific duties and adhering to organizational policies and procedures. Position Details

Hours: 20 hours per week, 10-hour shifts; rotating start times between 6:00 AM and 9:00 AM

Experience and Certifications:
Previous perioperative experience is highly preferred; ACLS and PALS certifications will be required post-hire.

Education Requirements:
Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Nursing (Required)

Experience Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years in Nursing (Preferred)

Licensure and Certification:
Licensed Registered Nurse (Pennsylvania) - RN_State of Pennsylvania; Basic Life Support Certification - Default Issuing Body
