Job Summary
This is a hybrid role based out of the Denver, PA office. Hybrid schedule is 3 days per week in office-Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

The Functional Analyst will be responsible for interpreting the business requirements of various functional areas (e.g., Finance, Controlling, Supply Chain, Human Resources, Customer Service, Meter Operations, etc.) into print-related functionalities within the OpenText and SAP IS-U CR&B systems. This role encompasses participation in all facets of project work, ongoing functional enhancements, troubleshooting, software updates, and compliance with legal changes. Collaboration is key throughout all stages of the systems development life cycle (SDLC), with a focus on the analysis, design, and development of configuration-based solutions. Continuous development of both technical and analytical skills is essential to deliver value-added business solutions aligned with the IT technical architecture roadmap.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Enhance UGI's bill printing and correspondence processing capabilities by leveraging existing technical expertise with the OpenText StreamServe product. Expand proficiency within the SAP CR&B and OpenText systems concerning operational print activities, resolving print-related issues, and integrating with UGI's print vendor. Collaborate with business unit analysts, EBT resources, and other IT technical personnel to develop new systems and improve existing systems to adapt to evolving business policies and legislative requirements. Execute configurations to support defined business processes/functions, including timely testing and validation of software updates released by SAP and OpenText.
  • Diagnose incidents reported against IT applications. Assist in investigating issues to identify root causes. Monitor daily batch processing, responding promptly to job failures. Provide 24/7 primary and/or secondary support for core applications deemed business-critical.
  • Support the request and analysis phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) by aiding in documentation and estimates. Carry out the design, development, testing, and implementation phases of SDLC by producing functional specifications, test plans, and effort estimates, under the guidance of more senior staff.
  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure external interfaces and product support align with the Company's needs, particularly regarding Bill and Correspondence Print-related integrations.
  • Stay informed about current trends in the business marketplace, focusing on product and service development, delivery, and support, while applying key technologies. Provide insights and direction on business unit technology strategies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Strong analytical skills to assess business processes and their influence on application functionality.
  • Understanding of technical design specifications and familiarity with development tools and technologies supporting the Information Technology Architecture.
  • Ability to comprehend project plans and clearly articulate roles, project goals, and timelines.
  • Basic knowledge of COBIT5-based IT Governance and Management frameworks or other structured industry-standard methodologies.
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Education and Experience
Advisory level:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Information/Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of four (4) years of functional support experience, including at least two (2) years supporting the OpenText StreamServe product and two (2) years of experience in supporting applications, systems, or business processes with analysis, design, and/or improvement related to invoice and correspondence printing.
  • Preferred: Two (2) years of experience with SAP Utilities (IS-U / CR&B) configuration and integration with the OpenText StreamServe product.
  • ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) Foundation certification (at hire or within 12 months in position).
Configurator II level:
  • Prior hands-on experience supporting business processes, applications, or systems with analysis, configuration, testing, and/or improvement associated with the OpenText StreamServe product.
  • In lieu of experience in the components listed above, two (2)+ years of direct hands-on experience supporting business processes, applications, or systems with an analysis, testing, and/or improvement focus is required.
