Position: Load Management Specialist

Overview: High Transit LLC is dedicated to facilitating the transportation of oversized and overweight cargo for various sectors including civil construction, manufacturing, and heavy equipment. We are currently in search of a Load Management Specialist to enhance our operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Shipping Department in daily operations through a range of administrative and analytical tasks aimed at optimizing load efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Engineering to create multi-piece load configurations tailored for DOT customers.
  • Develop comprehensive routing packages for all assignments to secure preliminary permit approvals.
  • Utilize the Bill of Lading system for load development, ensuring accurate documentation of equipment specifications.
  • Serve as a backup for other shipping team members as required.

Essential Functions:

  • Gather customer sequence schedules in advance to integrate with load configurations and maintain an organized shipping pick list.
  • Analyze equipment requirements for specialty loads and coordinate with the Engineering Group to determine optimal delivery practices.
  • Create initial load configuration data for scheduling and control of specialty equipment.
  • Maintain an equipment database essential for obtaining necessary permits.
  • Support the Permit Coordinator in managing permit requests across various states.
  • Engage in pre-bid design and analysis, coordinating load configurations and documentation for successful projects.
  • Cross-train within the Shipping Group to ensure comprehensive operational support.
  • Process invoicing for third-party loads, averaging four invoices per month.
  • Conduct daily trailer yard checks and maintain accurate scheduling data.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proficiency in Office 365, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and apply mathematical skills effectively.
  • Familiarity with mapping software and knowledge of D.O.T. compliance regulations.
