About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Protection Consultant to join our team at WSP. As a Fire Protection Consultant, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and guidance for due diligence, design, development, building, testing, and inspecting of fire and life safety systems on building projects in the public and private sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the research, design, concept development, planning, installation, operation, maintenance, and optimal integration of automatic sprinkler, fire alarm, mass notification systems, smoke control, egress analysis, and building and fire code analysis review and compliance.
  • Generate accurate and concise reports and documentation regarding installation, construction, and operation specifications.
  • Ensure that responsibilities are delivered and adhered to with a level of quality that meets or exceeds acceptable industry standards for design, safety, and functionality.
Requirements
  • Bachelor or Master of Science Degree in Fire Protection Engineering, or related Fire Protection degree.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant post-education experience in engineering discipline and prior fire and life safety design experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification/Designation as an Engineer in Training (EIT)
  • Knowledge of REVIT and AutoCAD.
  • Experience in fire protection engineering design applications.
