Sprinkler Service Foreman Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sprinkler Service Foreman to join our team at Allied Fire Protection. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation, service, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Installation and Service: Install fire sprinkler systems, including fabrication of related piping and materials, and ensure compliance with manufacturer's requirements.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Direct and delegate tasks to fitters and helpers to ensure project completion deadlines are met and scheduling requirements are fulfilled.
  • Quality Control and Assurance: Conduct testing of systems, ensure required certifications are complete, and maintain a high standard of quality work and customer satisfaction.
  • Communication and Customer Service: Maintain open communication with customers, provide information as required, and ensure customer satisfaction and respond to feedback.
  • Administrative Tasks: Accurately complete and maintain all paperwork, including JSAs, Toolbox Talks, and Incident and Accident Reporting.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Foreman, with a minimum of 2 years of experience as a fire sprinkler helper or 3 years as a fire sprinkler apprentice/fitter.
  • Certifications: American Fire Sprinkler Association training program, Certified state/federally-accredited Foreman, State Backflow testing and repair certification, Forklift and scissor lift certification, and Nicet II & III certification.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of fire sprinkler piping systems, fire protection installation requirements, and NFPA codes and standards.

  • Leadership and Teamwork: Ability to take direction from upper management, lead and mentor team members, and maintain a positive and professional attitude.
  • Communication and Customer Service: Ability to interact and communicate effectively with customers, project managers, and other trades.
  • Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Ability to analyze problems, think critically, and adapt to changing situations.
