Job Summary

Freeport Press, Inc. is seeking a skilled Roll Tender to join our team in New Philadelphia, Ohio. As a Roll Tender, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our web offset press.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and prepare rolls of paper for printing, ensuring they are free from damage and properly aligned.
  • Operate the press to produce high-quality prints, maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubricating the press, to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with the pressroom team to achieve production goals and maintain a high level of quality control.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues, reporting any problems to the pressroom supervisor.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in web offset printing or a related field.
  • Ability to work at heights, lift heavy objects, and perform physical tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to convey and receive instructions effectively.
