Hospice Aide Job Description

As a Hospice Aide with St. Croix Hospice, you will play a vital role in providing quality, continuity, and safe patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Your primary focus will be on delivering exceptional patient care, including bathing, nail/skin care, dressing/undressing, dental hygiene, and other personal hygiene needs while maintaining a clean and organized environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide patient care with compassion and respect, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA standards.
  • Take and record vital signs, assist with self-administered medications, and plan nutritious meals for patients.
  • Assess and report patient conditions and changes to the RN Case Manager.
  • Assist with ambulation, exercise, transfers, positioning, and support a complete range of motion and other therapy activities.
