Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Hospice Aide to join our team at St. Croix Hospice. As a valued member of our interdisciplinary care team, you will work under RN supervision to provide quality, continuity, and safe patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care, including bathing, nail/skin care, dressing/undressing, dental and other personal hygiene, while maintaining a sanitary and orderly environment.
  • Offer positive, respectful, and confidential patient/family communication.
  • Take and record vital signs, and assist with self-administered medications.
  • Plan and prepare nutritious meals, including shopping and feeding the patient as needed.
  • Assess and report patient's condition and changes to the RN Case Manager.
  • Assist in ambulation, exercise, transfers, positioning and support a complete range of motion and other therapy activities.

Requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including communication, empathy, and compassion.
  • Demonstrated tact and patience.
  • Time management and organization skills.
  • High integrity and a commitment to HIPAA privacy standards.
  • Comfortable providing specialized care to the terminally ill.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) designation current with state-specific requirements.
  • Licensed and insured driver with automobile in good working order.
