Key Responsibilities:
- Develops recruitment strategies to generate prospects and facilitate enrollment, which may include flexible hours.
- Organizes employer visits and participates in graduate college and career fairs.
- Provides exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries from prospective and current students through various communication channels.
- Manages incoming data related to graduate programs, including processing applications and maintaining student databases.
- Communicates student status through official correspondence.
- Assists with independent study courses and related administrative tasks.
- Coordinates assessments and facilitates course auditing processes.
- Collaborates with student accounts to resolve billing issues and manage financial documentation.
- Processes independent student contracts and assists with changes to individual learning plans.
- Documents and coordinates Lifetime Experience credits.
- Works with various departments to ensure accurate information for graduate student commencement.
- Participates in advisory groups for registrar-related projects and training.
- Organizes marketing materials for distribution and manages prospective student information sessions.
- Supports international students with visa applications and coordinates meetings with faculty.
- Arranges logistics for study abroad programs.
- Oversees course registration and confirmation for graduate students.
- Assists with scholarship applications and processing.
- Facilitates student meetings and manages scheduling and reimbursement processes.
- Acts as the Michigan Intercollegiate Graduate Studies (MIGS) contact for graduate programs.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Faculty Support:
- Facilitates communication between students and faculty members.
- Proctors examinations and coordinates meetings and events for graduate programs.
- Assists new adjunct faculty with resource connections and supply needs.
- Collects and tracks syllabi for graduate programs.
- Coordinates events for undergraduate business programs as needed.
- Provides technical support for adjuncts with electronic devices.
- Handles various project coordination tasks for adjunct professors.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
- Experience in higher education is advantageous.
- A minimum of 2 years of administrative experience is required.
- Familiarity with academic program development and admissions processes is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and coordinate events effectively.
- Proficiency in office software and databases commonly used in higher education.
- Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
Work Environment:
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with frequent interruptions.
- Regular use of computer and telephone.
- Occasional lifting may be required.
