Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the nursing staff in the Labor and Delivery department.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient flow and efficient use of resources.
  • Monitor and analyze patient outcomes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Recruit, train, and develop nursing staff to ensure a skilled and motivated team.
  • Manage departmental budgets and resources to ensure effective use of funds.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with physicians, other departments, and external partners to ensure excellent patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
  • Current Texas State RN license or Compact license accepted.
  • National Certification in Nursing Management or plan to achieve within 1 year of hire/transfer.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a nursing management position.
