Job Title: Metrologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Metrologist to join our team at Michelli Weighing & Measurement. As a Metrologist, you will play a critical role in the development of calibration methods and techniques for precision measurement devices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and evaluate calibration systems to ensure accurate measurements.
  • Identify and mitigate error sources contributing to uncertainty in measurement results.
  • Collaborate with other metrology personnel to resolve measurement problems and exchange information.
  • Work independently at customer sites, often requiring travel via company vehicle.
  • Attend technical training sessions to stay up-to-date with industry developments.
  • Meet ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 Quality Management System objectives and follow established processes.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and company vehicle.
  • Write accurate and detailed service reports.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for service technicians and accept overtime work as needed.
Requirements:
  • Low-voltage electronic instrument troubleshooting and repair experience.
  • Ability to handle tools and perform repair activities.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and web browsers.
  • Mechanical aptitude and understanding of mechanical movement concepts.
  • Ability to read and understand electronic schematic diagrams and technical manuals.
  • Valid State-issued Driver's License and ability to pass Pre-Employment Background Screen, Drug and Alcohol testing.
  • High School Diploma or GED and electronics education or military/commercial metrology training preferred.
