Key Responsibilities:
1. Adhere to established laboratory protocols for specimen management, analysis, and reporting of patient test results.
2. Ensure compliance with proficiency testing standards by maintaining accurate records.
3. Conduct specimen analysis utilizing approved methodologies.
4. Review and validate test outcomes.
5. Follow regulatory guidelines including CLIA, HIPAA, and OSHA to ensure safety and compliance.
6. Identify and address issues that may impact test accuracy, notifying senior staff as necessary.
Qualifications:
Education:
A Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology is preferred, or a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Biology, or an Associate’s degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Technology. Previous qualification as a Technologist under 42 CFR 493 is also acceptable.
Experience:
At least one year of clinical experience in high complexity testing is preferred.
