Job Summary:

The Infectious Diseases Diagnostic Laboratory (IDDL) at Fairview Health Services is seeking a full-time Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing complex diagnostic and therapeutic testing, interpreting results, and collaborating with customers to promote customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

* Perform a wide variety of complex diagnostic and therapeutic testing, including bacteriology, mycology, parasitology, and virology.
* Act as a resource for problem resolution and interpretation of results.
* Correlate data based on clinical knowledge, technical expertise, and other conditions affecting test results.
* Collaborate with customers to promote customer satisfaction.
* Participate in laboratory performance improvement activities.

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in a related laboratory field, including a related lab practicum or equivalent routes as specified in CLIA '88.
* Possess or be eligible to receive appropriate HHS-approved laboratory certification (ASCP or AMT).
* Certification is required within 1 year of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

* BS in Medical Laboratory Sciences or Medical Technology.
