Job Description

Ryder is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Forest Park, Georgia. As a Senior Level Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles.

Responsibilities
  • Perform standard vehicle maintenance and preventive maintenance tasks
  • Diagnose complex mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computer tools
  • Complete detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision
  • Replace defective components as instructed
  • Work unsupervised on most tasks and interact with customers/drivers to determine the nature of complaints
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or technical certification, post-secondary degree, or technical certifications preferred
  • Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
  • Three (3) years or more relevant work experience preferred
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A, preferred
