Job Responsibilities:
The Mortgage Financing Specialist is responsible for originating mortgage loans within a designated area. This includes establishing referral partnerships with real estate agents, builders, and financial institutions to actively pursue business opportunities and achieve specific loan origination targets.
Key duties include:
- Providing expert guidance to clients, processing loan applications, and conducting initial underwriting assessments.
- Submitting loan applications for processing and underwriting approval utilizing advanced technology.
- Maintaining ongoing communication with clients and real estate professionals to ensure timely collection of necessary documentation for processing and closing.
Compensation Structure:
This position is entirely commission-based, with no salary cap, allowing for significant earning potential based on performance.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- A minimum of 2 years of current experience as a Mortgage Loan Originator.
- Experience with various loan types, including conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, and CHFA.
- Proven track record of a minimum monthly production of $1.5 million.
- Previous experience as an MLO within Colorado.
- Educational background equivalent to a two-year college degree or completion of a specialized training program.
Preferred Skills:
Ideal candidates will possess:
- Experience with FNMA Desktop Underwriter, FHLMC, FHA, VA, PC Lender, and mortgage processing systems.
Essential Duties:
The Mortgage Financing Specialist will:
- Assist clients in completing loan applications and monitor the online queue of member-originated loans.
- Review files for accuracy and completeness, communicating with processors regarding outstanding items.
- Deliver Good Faith Estimates and TIL disclosures promptly after application submission.
- Support loan processing and closing coordination with clients.
- Stay informed on current trends in mortgage lending and relevant market factors.
Work Environment:
This position is based in an office setting, utilizing standard office equipment. Personal smartphones are required for data security purposes.
Physical Demands:
Frequent sitting, occasional walking, and the ability to exert up to 10 lbs of force are necessary for this role.
