About the Role

Sunland Asphalt is seeking a highly skilled Civil Project Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of heavy civil construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with project managers and superintendents to ensure resources are accurately accounted for.
  • Assist project managers with daily duties and tasks, including supporting field crews and attending weekly production meetings.
  • Perform project cost accounting functions and coordinate with project inspectors.
  • Develop and modify work processes to ensure the highest standards for quality, productivity, and profitability.
  • Represent the company and interact professionally with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and the public.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, or 2-5 years' experience in civil concrete or a related field.
  • Previous heavy construction or concrete industry experience is required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and MS Project Scheduling software.
  • Strong mathematical skills and ability to perform complex computations for layout design and material requirements.
  • Broad understanding of project management, budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, and contract administration.
