The Ambulatory Practice Coordinator III functions within the ambulatory practice as the team leader coordinating administrative functions within the group. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient daily operation of the unit, troubleshooting workflow issues, and coordinating with unit management to coordinate staffing and replacement coverage.
Key Responsibilities- Administrative Functions: Coordinates administrative tasks, including scheduling, billing, and referral processes.
- Team Leadership: Serves as the team leader, providing guidance and support to team members.
- Workflow Optimization: Identifies and resolves workflow inefficiencies, implementing process improvements to enhance productivity.
- Training and Development: Conducts or arranges for unit-specific training for new hires, coordinating with the practice-training mentor.
- Compliance and Quality: Ensures HIPAA confidentiality and privacy policies are fully implemented and maintains high-quality standards in all aspects of the job.
- Special Projects: Assists with special projects as required, including obligations to insurers, hospital issues of compliance, and operations improvement initiatives.
Education: Associate's Degree in Secretarial Science/Business or a Secretarial Training Certificate Program required.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of work experience in a medical group practice, billing, and/or managed care setting required.
