Job Title: Senior Program Coordinator

Rutgers University-Camden is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Program Coordinator to join our International Student Office team. As a key member of our team, you will provide individual and group advisement to undergraduate and graduate F-1/J-1 international students and certain J-1 exchange visitors on immigration matters, admission, enrollment, housing, personal/cultural adjustment, academic, financial, employment, and other related matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage our immigration database (SUNAPIS) and ensure accurate and timely data entry.
  • Provide educational/cultural programming and services for students, scholars, employees, and host departments.
  • Administer and evaluate the office's overall operation and programs.
  • Oversee the undergraduate and graduate student support staff.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and two years of professional experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of federal visa and immigration laws and regulations.
  • Experience in customer service, counseling support, program coordination, or administrative functions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in higher education, international education, public administration, international relations, foreign languages, or other field directly related to working with international students.
  • Experience utilizing SUNAPSIS software program.
  • Experience advising international students in an academic environment.
  • Experience living/working abroad.
