Compensation: Starting at $21.50 per hour, with an additional $1.00 per hour for 2nd shift differential.

As an Evening Forklift Operator, you will play a crucial role in supporting production operations by efficiently managing product retrieval and maintaining precise inventory levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment to ensure optimal functionality and report any issues to the supervisor.
  2. Operate all machinery safely and in accordance with established procedures.
  3. Load, unload, lift, lower, and stage various products, both palletized and non-palletized.
  4. Ensure that all loads are properly secured during transport.
  5. Facilitate the smooth movement of materials throughout the manufacturing facility.
  6. Perform light quality control checks and document any discrepancies.
  7. Utilize barcode systems for data input and retrieval.
  8. Maintain accurate records to support inventory control and data management.
  9. Communicate effectively and respectfully with team members via radio.
  10. Carry out routine maintenance on forklift equipment.
  11. Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvements and cost optimization.
  12. Adhere to 5S principles, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.
  13. Wear and utilize all required personal protective equipment.
  14. Ensure personal safety and the safety of colleagues.
  15. Assist other departments as needed.
  16. Comply with company values, policies, and legal regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Must successfully complete company lift truck certification.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
  • Basic computer skills are necessary.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong focus on quality and safety.
  • High attention to detail and a sense of urgency are essential.
  • Basic mathematical skills are required.
  • Ability to read, understand, and apply work instructions and procedures.
  • Preferred experience with barcode equipment.
