The Assistant Warehouse Manager plays a crucial role in directing the operations of the warehouse, overseeing the warehouse team and Truck Drivers. This position requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask.

Key Responsibilities
  • Directs the operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.
  • Supervises the warehouse team, providing guidance and support to ensure successful completion of tasks.
  • Manages inventory control, monitoring receivables, customer orders, and general duties associated with inventory control.
  • Assists the Warehouse Manager in monitoring and implementing supplier programs.
  • Monitors equipment maintenance and care, including month-end reports on mileage, driver reports, and other required reports.
  • Helps the Warehouse Manager supervise the team and completes semi-annual and annual performance reviews.
  • Assists Warehouse Manager with month-end closing activities, including verification of invoices, inventory count, and proper month-end reports.
  • Provides back-up to Truck Drivers and the administrative team at the location when needed.
  • May be required to drive a company vehicle.
  • Provides excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.
  • Other work-related duties as assigned by leader.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • One year of general laborer experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Forklift experience is required.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak in English is required.
  • Communicating in Spanish is a valuable skill at Helena.
  • Applicants for positions requiring any driving of a vehicle on a roadway must be 18 and possess a valid U.S. driver's license.
  • Computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office, are required.
