Patient Care Technician

As a Patient Care Technician at Hackensack Meridian Health, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support. Key Responsibilities
Provide direct and indirect patient care, including vital sign checks, medication administration, and wound care.
Assist with patient transfers, ambulation, and positioning to ensure patient safety and comfort.
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care plans and goals.
Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Completion of a Patient Care Technician program or equivalent medical background experience.
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs.
Strong sense of accountability for improving patient lives and exceptional focus on teamwork.
Preferred Qualifications
Experienced or certified in phlebotomy and checking EKG, vital signs, and blood sugar.
At least one year of PCT or CNA experience in a hospital setting or eligible for the HMH PCT apprentice program.
