Official Job Title: IT Consultant

JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for providing support for specific applications within the business unit. The main focus is on the development, maintenance, and support of Entergy's Corporate Applications, including SharePoint, Microsoft Power Automate, Power Apps, and custom application support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver operational support, ensuring production systems and devices are functioning and accessible, including non-business hours on-call support.
  • Understand the operational needs and objectives of Corporate Applications; recommend, design, and implement enhancements that align with business requirements.
  • Ensure application availability in accordance with established Service Level Agreements.
  • Assist in the design, development, and testing of systems applications and enhancements.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.

Experience:

6+ years of relevant technology delivery with expertise in IT Applications.

  • Experience with SharePoint, Microsoft Power Automate, Power Apps, and API integration is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficient in technologies such as SharePoint 2016, SharePoint Online, SharePoint Framework, Microsoft ASP.NET, Microsoft Visual Studio, Power Automate, Power Apps, Azure, PowerShell, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, .NET Framework, SQL Server Studio, VB, TFS, and familiarity with Windows and SQL Server.
  • Experience with SharePoint migration and OneDrive.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to support systems, including third-party integrations, in a dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity practices, including system hardening, patch management, and configuration management.
  • Knowledge of web security controls testing and security assessments.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members to analyze issues and determine the best course of action.
  • Self-motivated with the capability to work independently.
  • Proven ability to implement process improvements proactively.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Understanding of client business needs and objectives.
  • Demonstrated success in technology delivery.
  • Ability to provide technical guidance and contribute to IT strategy development.
  • Manage core and non-core SharePoint platforms and solutions.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Certifications:

  • Microsoft 365/SharePoint certifications are desirable.
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert.
  • Microsoft Certified: Power Automate RPA Developer Associate.
  • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate.
  • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate.
  • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect Expert.
