Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
As a Patient Care Assistant, your primary duties will include:
  • Medical Care: Assist, evaluate, and document medical tasks such as:
    - Basic first aid
    - Monitoring weight and vital signs
    - Catheter and bowel care, including intake and output tracking
    - Range of motion exercises and activities as directed by therapy professionals
    - Patient mobility, transfer, and positioning using appropriate equipment
    - Meal preparation tailored to dietary needs
    - Addressing special patient conditions within the scope of authorized tasks
  • Personal Hygiene Support: Aid patients in maintaining personal hygiene, including:
    - Assistance with bathing, grooming, and dressing
    - Oral hygiene and eating support
  • Documentation: Ensure thorough completion of all necessary documentation, including:
    - Maintaining accurate patient and family records
    - Reporting significant changes in patient conditions to the supervising nurse

Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Current and unrestricted certification as required by state regulations
  • Valid CPR certification
  • Proficiency in clinical assessments and compliance with care policies
  • Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record

Additional Requirements:
- Continuing education as mandated by state regulations
- Specific state requirements may include successful completion of training programs and competency evaluations
