Position Overview and Responsibilities
We are seeking an Electrician to join our Facilities Operations team. The Electrician will be tasked with the inspection, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of electrical power systems and equipment, including distribution systems. The Electrician will report to the Electrical Supervisor.

Starting at $28.57 per hour, the pay rate will increase to $33.18 after successful completion of a probation period, and $37.71 with 10 years of relevant experience.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintaining and repairing electrical equipment, distribution systems, controls, and signal equipment;
  • Conducting inspections and tests on electrical lighting, signal communication, and power circuit equipment;
  • Identifying defects in wiring, switches, motors, and other electrical components using appropriate testing instruments;
  • Examining and testing electrical systems to locate faults such as blown fuses, short circuits, and loose connections;
  • Replacing faulty switches, sockets, plugs, fuses, and other components of electrical systems;
  • Renewing circuits by isolating defective wiring and replacing it with new wiring;
  • Replacing defective parts such as gears and bearings;
  • Maintaining and testing emergency generators;
  • Responding to and troubleshooting elevator issues;
  • Repairing and calibrating electronically operated controls and devices;
  • Overtime may be required, including after-hours and weekend emergencies.

This is a full-time position eligible for benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage after a waiting period.

Qualifications
  • A minimum of seven years of experience in electrical work is required.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical principles and their application to maintenance and repair of electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with testing equipment such as Volt-Ammeters and multi-meters is essential.
  • Knowledge of regulatory codes and requirements is preferred.
  • Willingness to work overtime when necessary.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
