Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, assess, and cultivate commercial insurance prospects with both new and existing clients through various communication channels including in-person meetings, online interactions, phone calls, and written correspondence.
  • Build and sustain exceptional relationships with clients and prospects through consistent follow-ups, precise and prompt quotations, and comprehensive account support. Proactively address and respond to all client inquiries.
  • Engage in networking and strategic planning to attract new clients and explore business opportunities.
  • Track, analyze, and report on essential metrics to ensure sales objectives are met, while maintaining accurate and professional documentation of sales activities.
  • Collaborate with team members, mentor junior staff, provide insights and answers to queries, and participate in both formal and informal meetings as required.
  • Assist clients in the renewal and retention process while fostering strong client relationships.
  • Maintain continuing education and stay updated on industry trends, new product offerings, regulations, coverages, and technological advancements to enhance knowledge and performance.
  • Review client audits, ensure necessary corrections are made, and manage accounts receivable and billing processes.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of two years of experience in personal and commercial account management, along with a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Strong understanding of insurance products, rating and underwriting processes, coverages, and industry operations to effectively secure new business and maintain existing client relationships.
  • A proven history of success in business-to-business sales, along with strong presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills necessary for closing sales.
  • Customer-oriented, people-focused, and professionally assertive in developing new client relationships and servicing current clients.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage complex tasks independently, sound business judgment, strong decision-making capabilities, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Outstanding time management skills, ability to thrive in a collaborative environment, and proficiency in technology and computer systems, including agency management software.
