Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Program Operations Supervisor at Goodwill Industries Of Greater New York is tasked with overseeing the Intake team and collaborating with designated personnel. This role includes conducting regular evaluations of program participant records to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and Medicaid guidelines, while promoting a supportive recovery and rehabilitation atmosphere, whether in-person or remotely, for individuals facing serious and persistent mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

The responsibilities will be executed in alignment with the requirements set forth by funding entities and organizational standards. Duties will encompass, but are not limited to, the management of electronic health records, providing individual and group counseling, implementing Individual Recovery Plans, and delivering specialized participant services in areas such as co-occurring substance use disorders, wellness, vocational support, and family therapy.

  • Oversee a caseload of up to 25 clients, including case management, referrals, and vocational assistance to ensure comprehensive service coordination.
  • Supervise the Intake Recovery Counselor and manage all aspects of participant enrollment and intake processes.
  • Conduct necessary assessments, including psycho-social evaluations, psychiatric rehabilitation, vocational readiness, cultural assessments, and substance use screenings.
  • Collaborate with participants to develop Individualized Recovery Plans (IRPs) on a biannual basis or as needed.
  • Maintain and update demographic, treatment, and employment information in electronic health records.
  • Contribute to the upkeep of the program environment, ensuring cleanliness in shared spaces.
  • Facilitate 3 to 5 group sessions in accordance with established protocols and curricula, covering various therapeutic topics.
  • Provide individual counseling to assist participants in achieving their life role objectives as outlined in their IRPs.
  • Document participant progress in monthly reports and assess the necessity for adjustments in services provided.
  • Coordinate treatment efforts by sharing IRPs and progress notes for participants involved with multiple agencies.
  • Deliver services based on Evidence-Based Practices, including Wellness Self-Management, Family Psychoeducation, Medication Management, Co-occurring Disorders, and Supported Employment.
  • Organize follow-up services for participants preparing for discharge from the program.
  • Actively participate as a member of an interdisciplinary treatment team, attending weekly administrative and clinical meetings.
  • Ensure timely documentation of client services in the Electronic Health Record system, adhering to Medicaid and mental health office requirements.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with clients' other service providers and family members as clinically appropriate.
  • Participate in a 24-hour support rotation with the clinical team.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
