The Registered Nurse - ICU provides direct nursing care to patients in the Intensive Care Unit at Las Palmas Medical Center. This role requires a strong foundation in critical care nursing, with the ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment plans in collaboration with the patient, family, and healthcare team.
Responsibilities- Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans to meet those needs.
- Administer medications, perform medical procedures, and provide wound care as needed.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care, including ordering lab tests, consulting with specialists, and communicating with family members.
- Monitor patients' vital signs, responding promptly to changes in their condition.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting health and wellness.
- RN licensed in the state of Texas or a Compact State.
- BCLS certification.
- ACLS certification (6 months from hire for GN's or transfer into unit).
- Associates, BSN, or RN Diploma.
- Preferred experience as RN in Critical Care.
- Preferred experience as RN 1-2 years in Med-Surg or Telemetry.
- TNCC and CCRN certifications.
