Compensation:
The pay range for this role is $20 - $23/hour, commensurate with experience, plus potential overtime opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately log all samples received in accordance with established protocols, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Maintain a tidy and organized laboratory environment.
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of samples for testing.
- Prepare necessary reagents and media as directed by the Laboratory Manager.
- Conduct routine maintenance on laboratory instruments and ensure workspace cleanliness.
- Document all work performed in compliance with established protocols and compile analysis data into comprehensive lab reports.
- Execute specific analyses or segments of analyses as instructed by the Laboratory Manager.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of laboratory equipment and glassware.
- Report any non-conformances to the Quality Assurance Manager and Laboratory Manager.
- Perform additional job-related tasks and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Chemistry or a related field.
- An associate degree or higher in a physical science is preferred.
- Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols and prior laboratory experience is advantageous.
Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with internal teams and external partners.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills are essential.
- Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Capability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and work independently.
- General knowledge of chemistry and laboratory analysis procedures.
