Job DescriptionAs a Speech Therapist with Ambercare, you will conduct comprehensive evaluations, assess patients' speech and language skills, and develop personalized treatment plans to improve their communication abilities. You will also work closely with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
You will be responsible for:
- Conducting diagnostic evaluations and assessments to identify patients' speech and language needs
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to address patients' communication goals
- Providing direct speech therapy services to patients in their homes, including assessment, treatment, and progress monitoring
- Collaborating with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure effective care coordination and communication
To be successful as a Speech Therapist at Ambercare, you must possess:
- Certification of clinical competence in speech from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Licensure as a speech therapist in the state of New Mexico
- A minimum of one year of experience in acute care or equivalent settings
- Strong knowledge of principles and practices of speech therapy, including assessment, treatment, and documentation
