Job Description

At Dr. Nez and Associates Inc, we are seeking a dedicated Optometric Technician to join our front office team. As an essential part of our patient care team, you will assist the optometrist in pretesting patients and provide exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:
  • Greet patients and provide professional customer service
  • Answer phones, schedule appointments, and perform insurance verifications
  • Enter patient data and maintain patient demographics
  • Explain processes to prepare patients for pretesting and perform vision pre-screenings
  • Provide exceptional patient care and communicate effectively with patients, doctors, and fellow teammates

Requirements:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Customer service and optometry office experience preferred
  • Ability to work at different locations and lift up to 20 lbs.

Working Environment:
  • On-site, inside of our practices (no remote work available)
  • Scrub uniforms and patient care
  • Sitting, standing, and moving around to different rooms
  • Extended periods on the computer and examination equipment
