Security Clearance: ACTIVE Top-Secret
The Site Security Coordinator (SSC) role is designed for projects lacking a Security Site Manager (SSM) to support the designated officer overseeing managed projects. The SSC will collaborate with Department of State officials, facilitate security measures, and coordinate essential requirements with key project stakeholders, while providing comprehensive reports to Security Operations in Washington, D.C.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a meticulous daily log of various construction activities and submit written reports to the Regional Security Officer and Washington, D.C. Desk Officer for evaluation.
- Facilitate security measures and coordinate other requirements with primary project officials.
- Deliver reports back to Security Operations in Washington, D.C.
- Personnel with expertise in both Construction Security Training (CST) and Construction Assurance Group (CAG) disciplines will be expected to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with Embassy personnel.
Qualifications:
- ACTIVE Top Secret Clearance is mandatory.
- Current CST and/or CAG certification is required.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in security and/or construction roles.
- Site Security Coordinators must possess at least 3 years of experience within the Construction Security Management (CSM) Program.
- Must hold and maintain a Top-Secret U.S. Government Security Clearance.
- Must be in good physical health and meet the medical standards for the position.
- The SSC should be knowledgeable in both guard and construction surveillance functions, although certification in both is not necessary.
- The SSC must demonstrate independent decision-making capabilities, possess a strong initiative, and be able to operate with minimal supervision.
