Transformative Opportunity for a Senior Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Architect to join our Enterprise Technology Solutions (ETS) team at The Travelers Companies, Inc. As a key member of our architecture organization, you will collaborate with senior Technology and Business leaders to design and implement innovative solutions that drive business growth and transformation.

About the Role

As a Senior Architect, you will be responsible for:

  • Applying your extensive solutions architecture experience to support multiple initiatives across the enterprise and promote reusability and optimization
  • Providing consulting expertise to our division Architects and championing the design and implementation of solutions in ServiceNow, Power Platform, and other Low/No Code platforms
  • Ensuring that application teams and other critical teams within the enterprise align their completed application and platform architectures with Travelers' cybersecurity, resilience, scalability, and availability standards
  • Demonstrating a strong passion for following and sharing architecture and design best practices and driving continuous technology transformations toward zero-touch and zero-trust models to minimize technical debt
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow architecture and ServiceNow implementations
  • Hands-on experience with low/no code platforms such as ServiceNow and Power Platform
  • Experience leading solutions design, development, and implementing applications with ServiceNow
  • Bachelor's in technology-related field or equivalent with 5+ years of technology Architecture experience
  • Provided mentorship to architects
  • Organizational and transformational experience in an agile operating model
  • Establishes strategic technology direction and architecture vision for an organization
  • Strong proven Software Engineering experience
  • Developed technology target state, roadmaps that aligned to Short- and Long-term business goals
  • Proven track record of influencing senior leadership
  • Insurance technology experience
  • Strong grasp of value creation and business capability models
  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement
  • Must be passionate about technology transformations
  • Has hands-on experience in the last 3 years
  • Executed technology modernization initiatives including migration to cloud native and API Strategy
  • Current deep experience with AWS, APIs, accelerators, DevSecOps
  • Cloud Architecture Certification (AWS, GCP, or Azure) or strong architecture experience on Cloud
  • Good understanding of security
  • Experienced with large-scale technology platforms
