The City of Manhattan is seeking a dedicated individual to support the maintenance and cleanliness of various municipal facilities. This role involves ensuring that public spaces are well-kept and safe for community use.
Salary Information
Starting Salary Range: $19.30/hour, based on qualifications.
Work Schedule
Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Key Responsibilities
As a Facility Maintenance Technician, you will:
- Perform custodial tasks using effective cleaning techniques and operate maintenance equipment such as vacuums and floor scrubbers.
- Conduct routine maintenance activities, including cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, dusting, and waste disposal.
- Adhere to safety protocols while handling cleaning materials and report any maintenance issues.
- Maintain a log of completed tasks and monitor supply levels for cleaning materials.
- Prepare facilities for meetings and events as needed.
Other responsibilities may include:
- Assisting with special projects as directed by the supervisor.
- Performing outdoor maintenance tasks, including snow removal and ensuring cleanliness of entryways.
- Conducting monthly checks of safety equipment such as fire extinguishers.
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license.
- At least six months of experience in custodial or building maintenance roles.
